About Journal

Introduction

Proteomics is a rapidly growing field of molecular biology that is concerned with the methodical approach to protein expression analysis of a cell or an organism. Bioinformatics is the application of computer expertise to the management of biological information. The melding of science of Bioinformatics with proteomics provides an essential edge to the use of genomic information in understanding human diseases and in the identification of new molecular targets for drug discovery.

Annals of Proteomics and Bioinformatics publishes rigorously peer reviewed manuscripts encompassing versatile aspects of proteomics and bioinformatics science. The manuscripts of Annals of Proteomics and Bioinformatics provide insight in latest advances and continuous improvements in quantitation of proteins and bioinformatics sciences.

Reasons for Publishing

Since proteomics is growing at a very rapid pace, there is need of shift in the field from a specialized way of conducting studies towards a more global perspective. Proteomics analyzes the structure and function of biological systems but realization of both purification and identification of proteins in any organism is still a challenging goal as it is hindered by a multitude of biological and environmental factors.

Annals of Proteomics and Bioinformatics seeks to focus on publishing critical and unique aspects on the field of proteomics so that one can understand the proteome as a whole. The manuscripts published have a purpose to assist in developing a strategy tailored to understanding a particular proteome and insight on how proteins affect cell processes.
