The Annals of Proteomics and Bioinformatics (APB) is a fully open-access journal operating under the Gold Open Access Model. This means that all content is freely accessible to readers worldwide, with publication costs supported through Article Processing Charges (APCs) paid by authors, institutions, or funders after acceptance.
1. Purpose of APC
APCs ensure sustainability of open-access publishing and cover the operational costs required to process, review, and publish scholarly content while maintaining high ethical and editorial standards.

2. Current APC Structure
The APC varies depending on the article type and category. APB follows a tiered pricing system for different research domains:

4. Payment Process
Upon acceptance, an invoice will be issued to the corresponding author via email. Accepted payment methods include:

- Wire Transfer / Bank Deposit (SWIFT/IBAN supported)
- PayPal or institutional payment portal
5. Waivers and Discounts
APB is committed to supporting researchers from developing countries. Waivers or partial discounts are available to authors based in World Bank–classified Low and Lower-Middle Income Countries. Requests should be submitted before acceptance via the Waiver Policy form.
6. Institutional and Funder Support
Many research institutions and funders reimburse APCs for open-access publications. Authors are encouraged to verify eligibility with their institutions or funding bodies prior to submission.

8. Tax and Currency
All charges are quoted in USD. International authors may be subject to additional transaction or conversion fees based on their bank or payment provider. No VAT or GST is applied to APCs for international transactions.
9. Transparency and Ethics
APB follows the DOAJ Principles of Transparency and Best Practice and COPE Financial Integrity Guidelines. All APC records are maintained securely and are auditable under the publisher’s compliance protocols.
